The Employers'-..Federation held a meeting and Arrived at an understanding, presenting a new problem to promoters of strikes in ifche future. Details have not been disclosed, but t(he meeting determined to retain the local hands for the defence of the Trades' Hall. Many strikers will be compelled to seek new avenues of employment. A general strike now exists at Rookhampton, and almost all ports as far as Roclchampton are effected.
