CONFERENCE ON i'UESDAY. ('.Received Last Night, 10.15 o'clock.) MELBOURNE, February 7. The first- definite step towards a cori'ipulsory conference has. been taken. The Industrial Registrar has issued summonses to the manager or the Brisbane and Adelaide Tramway Companies, and the Presidents aiul Secretaries of the Brisbane and Adelaide Tramway Employees' Assocations, to attend a Conference on Tuseday. BRUSHES WITH THE POLICEDAMAGES AT ROCKHAMPTON. Received This Morning, 12.35 o'clock BRISBANE, February 7. Reports from Rookhampton and Town&ville show that brushes hare taken place between the police and strikers. ' - Stone4hrowincr fnd window-break-ing occurred at Rockhampton, and tw l were injured. The police eventually restored order.
