THE AGRICULTURAL DEPARTMENT.
Some days ago the "Age',' suggested that, with a view to securing a continuity of operations, unbroken by political changes, the Agricultural Department should be removed from the region of party politics. This suggestion 'appears to have met with the approbation of the Farmers' Union, several branches of which have expressed sympathy with it. It is probable that the Union will frame a resolution at on© of its Conferences, submitting the proposal- for the favourable consideration of Parliament.
