ODDFELLOW' LODGE

ANNUAL MEETING. Tire annual meeting of the Masterston Oddfellows' Dodge was held Evening, Bro. P. Smith, N.G., presiding over a large attendance of members. The interest on .investments wag £lO more than the sum paid away during the year for sick benefits. The management fund had also increased- by ££3, and. the fund now showed a credit of'£6B. The further sum of £7 10s wate added to the Benevolent Fund. After going fully into the balance sheet, the chairman stated that there was every probability of the aontributions of members being reduced. In concluding his address, the chairman asked members not to relax their I ''efforts in' obtaining new imemibers during the present year, but to try if possible, to present even a irtore satisfactory at of the.year. A vof£sof syjripathy was passed to Bro. Thos. Bacon, whose wife had recently died. Bros. P. Smith and J. Win skill were . elected as delegates to represent this J Lodge at the .next District meeting I .to be held at the Lower Hutt on the , 20th inst.
