Reeves, an <old age pensioner uvho is suffering from impaired eyeisigSnt, to Wellington to be operated (upon. There was.a good attendance :of the public, and the sum of £lO 7s iwas collected. The following, excellent programme was submitted: — Overture, Municipal Brass Band; song, Mr Haum ; recitation, Miss Hogg; song, Ma- Green;. song, Miss lEdwards; song, Mr Young; recitation, Mr Wilson ; clarionette solo, Mr Candy; duet, Miss Edwards and Mr Gtreen; song, Mr Jago; recitation, Miss Daniel!; quartette, Messrs iGreen, Jago, Young and Hunn.
