EKBTAHUNA STOCK SALE
The.New Zealand Loan and Mercantile" Agency Co., Ltd., report on their usual weekly sale held yesterday:—We submitted a small yarding of. sheep and good entry of cattle. Both sheep and cattle declined in price oil: last week's sale. Quotations:—4tooth wethers, 13s; 2-tooth wethers, lis to 12s; ewes and lambs, all counted, 9s;'2-year steers, £4 Is; Ift-months steers, £3 7s 6d; store cows; £3 2s 6d to £3 10s; fat cows, £4 18s 6d to £5 10s.
Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., raport on their Eket-: =ale as folL lows:—A good entry of both sheep and cattle oaane forward;' Any lines of inferior sheep were difficult ••- • - 11 but the> betterr sorts met with keen- com- ; petition, especially young ewes and I. wetlliers. Cattle were rather easier .; than at la.st sales rates. Following is a list of prices realised.,: —Sheep : Small (.-lambs, 3s S3 to 4s 10a; medium laimilxs, ;6s to Gs 9d; good lambs, 7s 6d to 9s 7d; store ewes. 9s to 10s 3d; 2-tooth 'wethers, 10s 6d to 12s Id. . Cattle-: Mixed weaners to 255; 12 to 18 months : heifers, in calf, £2 17s to £3 19s; 12 to 18 months steers, £3 4s to £3' 19s; ; forward bullocks, £7 % ■■'bulls;- £2 12s.
