TO BE HELD TO-DAY. Tlie Park Fete, which takes place in the MasWton Park this afternoon, promises to be one of the most successful gatherings of the kind ever held hi. the district and if the weather conditions prove favourable to sport, the puibltic- should enjoy itself to the full, «nd as the difterent branches of sport are catered for, there should be nto tack of variety. The object of the ■Fete, which entails the beautifying of the Park, should be sufficient to ensure a record attendance of townspeople, while an extra attraction will be the official opening of the Coronation Hblll by the Hbn. J3, Buddo, Minis-tor • of Internal Affairs, The programme is long and' varied, and embraces events for profession al and, amateur athletes, and as a large number of Wairarapa's very beat athletes a,re to compete, some excellent- contests sh/ould be witnessed, and no doubt new records put up. A feature of the .programme will be the Scotch danc-' ' ,n Sj in tvhich some high-class exponents of the art will compete, and this alone should prove a big attraction. Altogether, the programme is extremely attractive,, and thbse who present themselves at the Park this afternoon are assured of almost enjoyable outing. ■
