' | Tlie inquest was resumed to-day injto the circumstances connected with £he death of Ckiustme Elstob, a married vvomafl who died suddenly last Saturday morning. The mortem examination showed that death, was diue to heart failure, biit there were signs of. an attempt .ito .procure abortion. Further evidence was .to the effect that Mlrs had visited a 'local doctor, who gave her some stuff | to take, and who stated that she was tq procure a bottle of /medicine from him to prevent her having any more children. The Ooroner recorded an open verdict that death "was due: to .septicemia, caused bv ,v\ alleged operation.
