MASTERTON BOROUGH COUNCIL

ORDINARY MEETING. The ordinary meeting of the Masterton Borough Council was held in the Council Chambers last evening, there being present His Worship the ■.Mayor (Mr J. M. Coradine), and Ore. H. J. O'Leary, F. W. Temple, W. Candy, W. Pragnell, A. Donald, and o. Prentice.. Leave of absence was granted to Cr Hoar. •Mr F. Hunn applied for leave to hold a sacred concert in the Town Hall, .with the object of giving relief to an old* age pensioner named W. Reeves, who has lost the use pf one eye, and has the Bight of the other eye affected.— On the motion of Cr Temple, the necessary leave was granted, as the Council thought the case a deserving one. ' A report was received with reference to a local cab driver, wiho had an accident while ,under' the influence of 'drink.—.
