ATJOKiLANB, Last Sight.

Before the racing* started at Taka.puna vesterdoy., B. Deeley, the rider of, Catrtain' Soult in the v Stewards' Handicap on Saturday, was brought the Stewards, it being alleged by the look-out steward (Mr Geo. Outts) that he had not ridden his horse to the best advantage in that race. Deeley, in hi* statement, said that Wee OJga had run the field out soon after they jumped off. and his mount had lost several lengths. Unci p-r the circumstances, ho had ridden the horse to the best of his judg<- [ ment. T3ie Stewards accepted the explanation, but warned Dooloy as to his riding in the future.
