MONTHLY MEETING. A mooting of the Land Board--'was held at the District Lands and Survey Office, Wellington, on TJiursduy. , 'With reference to the application from the Nireahia Co-operative Dairy .Conipany r for section-47', Nireaha V.S. —A report was received from the the Crown Lands Banger amd Mr Dawson,, and it wias resolved to recommend for ■tihe Minister's approval, under clause 140 of title Land Act, 1908. With reference to Mr C. E. Wildbore's application for a better title to sections 55 to 59, Nireaha V.S., and his request for a. 35 years' lease of the sections at 12s 6d per acre, the Board furtheV considered the matter, and it was resolved to decline the request. Mr C. B. Wildlbore wrote with reference to noil-residence oii section 60, block.7, Tararua, Nireaha V.S.', 52a 3r 17p, and it was resolved that he must take up his residence on tihe land in April next. Mr C G. Staveley, lessee of section 5, plock 1, Waipawa, Dyer Settlement. 443 a 3r, applied for leave of absence for six months from March .next io <ro on. a health-recruiting trip, and it was •resolved to approve on the usual, conditions.

The Pahiatua County Council 'l'djwiarded a certtific&te that tuo roads' of access to'the following sections have been completed: —Section.l 33, block 3. Mangahao district, amount accrued £3 12s; Mangamaire, £4 14s 3d; sections 7 to 11, block 7, Mangaone,and Bootiona 1 to 4, block 1, Tararua,, £5 10s sd. The council applied to ■ be allowed to use the thirds accruing therefrom as ordinary revenue in the , terms of section 150 of Uhe Land Act, 1908. —It was approved, subject to the ranger's recommendation being favourable.'

Mr A. E. Hooker, leasee of section 20, block 2, Tiffin, Oarrington settlement, 93a Or 9d, wrote asking for permission to take another crop out of last year's paddock, as his other paddock is hardly ready,' and it was resolved to obtain a report from the Crown Lands Ranger*. The Otanaia Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., wrote asking to be allowed to surrender their interest in the lease, with a view of purchasing the freehold of the land afterwiaixls, in terms of section 64 and 70 (a) of tfoe Land for Settlements Act, 30r>«J a nd it was resolved to recommend for approval on the usual conditions.

The following mortgages were approved:— Lot 137, Featherafcon suburbs; lot 6, block 1, Kopuaranga.
