WEDDING AT PONGAROA
(Our Own Correspondent.) A very pretty wedding took place ; on January 24th,-:at the residence of ' Mr John'McDonald, of Akaroa Road; Plongaroa, when Miss Agnes Emily McDonald, third'daughter of Mr and. Mk-s J. McDonald, was married to MiHubert John Poole ,sccond son ofMr and Mrs Poole, of Rock Hill, Weber, Hawke's Bay. .The ceremony . wa r s coidueted by the Rev. J.. Rattray, of the Presbyterian- ChurcJi, Poiigtaroa. There was a Targe number of guests present from the surrounding district, and .beautiful wea-ther added to the enjoyment of aH.~Ma.ny pretty and useful presents were made io'the , bride. . After, the^ ..wedding breakfast:-,' at Avhicn numerous toa-sts were honoured, Mr and Mrs Poole left for Diannevirke, •en route for Auckland, where the honeymoon is to foe spent, and followed*'-by the good wishes of a. large circle of friends.
