AMATEUR ATHLETIC CLUB

MEETING OF COMMITTEE; A meeting of the committee of the Wairarapa Amateur Athletic Club was held in. Messrs Gawith and Logan's rooms on Tuesday night, there feeing present Messrs R. McKenzie (in the chair), .1. Ooradine, J. Bradbury, A. Long, P. Gilbert, R. Messenger, A. C. Williams and W. Dickson (secretary). The secretary reported tibat the programme of -amateur events submitted to the Executive of the Park Fete had been, approved of.— It was decided that the members of the Club give every possible support at the Fete on Ist February. It was unanimously decided to hold the annual sports meeting on Easter Monday, and a. programme of events was drawn up as follows:: — 100 yds Handicap, 220 yds Handicap, 440 yds Handicap (Ladies' Bracelet), 880vds Handicap, One Mile Handicap, Two Mile Handicap, 120 yds Hurdle Handicap, 440 yds -curdle Handicap, 440 yds Handicap, One Mile Walk, Two Mile W-alk! Pole Vault, High Jump, Hop, Step and Jump, Putting the Shot Handicap, Teams Relay Race (four men), 440vds Boys' Race (•under 16), Boys' Half-mile Walk, Boy Scouts Race (in uniform), Boys' One Mile Handicap (under 17). 'Mr J. Ooradine was 'appointed to act as joint secretary with Mr Dickson. The following were elected honorary memibers of the Oluib: — Messrs G. H. Perry, H. O. Roberts, A. Jackson. A. B. Wood, J.
