HON. J. A. MILLAR.

The report which was in circulation some time back that the Hon. J. A. Millar intended retiring from politics has -ibeen revived. A Southern paper, which is controlled by an Opposition member of Parliament, ,states that it is almost certain that Mr Millar will resign. Those who are in the confidence of the Minister attack very little credence to this report. They are aware that Mr Millar has orumore than one occasion , expressed a desire to withdraw from politics, but they are satisfied that he would not desert Sir Joseph Ward iso long as the Liberal party remains in power. What will happen in the event of Sir Joseph being relieved of office, remains to. 'be seen.
