NEW ZEALAND FORECAST (By Telegraph —Press Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night, • The Rev. D. C. Bates, of tihe Meteorological Office, this evening issued the followiing summary and forecast : Rain fell in many parts on Saturday and Sunday, and the winds changed to southerly on Sunday, with, a rapidly, risipg. JbarQmetejr., ..Conditions unproved" on, Monday. . Variable breezes have prevailed since, and changeable weather to-day, but unsettled, with rain, on the West Coast of the South Island. {Present indications are for a freshening northerly and easterly wind, probably backing to south-easterly Shortly in the Southern districts. The •barometer is very unsteady, but with a temporary falling tendency, especially in the North. Giangeable con- j (litions- are likely to prevail, and j misty rain is to be expected in parts.
