Motor Cycle CSub's sports lield on tihe Hastings Racecourse on Boxing Day, the Triumphs again practically swept the board, (hit of an entry of 12 machines' representing 5 different, makes the Triumphs secured ten firsts, seven seconds, and 4 thirds out of a possible eleven, events. This performance is all the_ more remarkable when it is> con&iflered ■tfhat the Triumphs had to concede large handicaps to machines of equal power and six of the ten first machines were ridden by amateua' riders. On Saturday, December 30th, Mr J. L. Rraithwaite left for Wellington on his' Triumph motor cycle to make a.n, attempt oai the existing figures of the Wellington to Napier retard—via.,. Mr Dratliwaite left the Wellington Posit Office. at 4.20 a.m. on New Year's Day, and arrived at the Napier Post Office at 10.57 a.m., his time being 6hrs.
