RULES AND CONDITIONS. 1. The •athletic ev-ents will be run under the rules of the New Zealand Athletic A'BSOoiatkxn.': 2. Nominations close with the Secletaraes on: Monday, March. 18th, at 8 p.m. ' 3. Competitors in tfee athletic events must send in a list of performances, for the past two years. If no wins for two years, marks of starts from previous events must be stated. 4. Acceptances and entrance fees for other evefflts close on the ground twenty minutes before each event. 5. No .nominations will be accepted without the nomination fees. 6. Protests moist be lodged with the secretary ten minutes after the race, accompanied by a fee of 2s 6d, which, will be forfeited if the objections are considered frivolous. Horse events 08. ~ 7. The committee reserve the right to postpone the sports if the weather is unfavourable. 8. No first prize will be given unless there are three starters; no second prize unless five starters. \ 9. Note. — All horses nominating (im local events) must have been m the district at leas*, two months prior to the date of the sports. They must also be the property of bona fide residents of the district, otherwise they will be disqualified. . 10.
