The first triangular teams matcfi. of the season for the Busk Chip, be* twoen teams representing the Alf-» rodton, M'auriceville and Tararua 'Hifle Clubs, was iired at Alfredtoa 1 on Saturday last. The .home team :put up a strong defence in a heavyi worth-west gale, which' varied from 3 degrees to 15 loft, The veteran rifle* man, H. J. Dagg, of Alifredton, scored s>—a remarkable shoot under the conditions. The visitors were entertained' by the ladies at afternoon tea* The following are the scores :■—
