TO-DAY'S WEATHER
NEW ZEALAND FORECAST (By Telegraph — Press Association:) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. I3afces>, of the. Meteorological Office, this evening isteoied the following summary and forecast:—
Strong and squally westerly and southerly winds blew last night, and heavy showers fell in parts, but the directions are variable to-day, and, except on the West Coast and the southernmost districts, the weather flias improved. The barometer rose last night, but has fallen in the 'South again? to-day. Ptresent indications are for strong westerly and southerly winds, "and changeable weather, with showers in. parte, especially on the West Coast and southern districts. A short squall area is likely to pass in the South soon, after which the barometer will rise again in the Southern districts.
