THE VICTORIOUS TRIUMPH. WONDERFUL RECORD OF SUCCESSES ON TRIUMPH MOTOR CYCLES. At the H.B. Motor Cycle Club's sports held on the Hastings Racecourse on Boxing Day, the Triumphs again practically swept the board. Out of an entry of 12 machines, representing 5 different makes the Triumphs secured ten. firsts, seven seconds, and 4 .thirds ou* of a possible eleven, events. "* This performance is all the more remarkable when it is consiflered tlhat the Triumphs bad to concede targe handicaps to machines of equal power and six of the ten- first machines were ridden by .amateur riders. On Saturday j December 30t.h, Mr J. L. Braithwaite left for Wellington ou his Triumph motor cycle to make an attempt on; the existing figures of the Wellington to Napier record—viz., Slurs 3oro?'n., established by Mr H. L. Schaeffer on New Year's Day, 1909, also on a Triumph. In. spite of several attempts on other makes of machines, this record has stood to the credit of the Triumph for three years. Mr Brathwnite left the Wellington Post Office at 4.20 a.m. o« New Year's- Day, ami arrived at the Napier Post Office at 10.57 a.m., his time being 6hrs. 38niin., Towering the previous record by nearly .two hours. The Triumph, ran perfectly from start to finish, the only two sto.ps being to take in petrol and oil. It Ls only perfect machines made firom the finest material procurable that earn average 33J- miles an hour over 230 miles of New ZeaiHand roads. Those who were at the Napier Post Office at the finish couTU not help but remark on; the perfect condition of the machine at the finish. The Triumph is not only made for speed. It has proved itself to be the machine for # hard work and long wear, and is perfectly adapted to New Zealand roads. We can deliver both fixed, aiil free engine models from stock, and* would be pleased to give trial runs to intending purchaser's at allli times.
