TO-DAY'S WEATHER
NEW ZEALAND FORECAST (By Telegraph — frets Association.) WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. D. C. Bates, of the Meteorological Office, this wealing i&saied the folllowdaig summary and forecast : <Ri\'m has fallen: in most districts, and strong and squally weather and westerly and northerly winds Mew in the night, but have changed to southerly in many pares to-day. The barometer has risen slightly in the far north, and on cue West Coast of the South Island to-day; but has been very unsteady, with a slight falling tendency elsewhere. Present indications are for high sout'hrwesterly winds generally for a short time, with equally and showery weather, probably much colder; and silow on some of the higher levels in the South. A rising barometer is expected everywhere.
