SUICIDE OF A BARRISTER
CHARGED WITH LIBELLING HIS ; SON. (Received January 13, 11.20 a.m.) LONDON, January 12. Thomas Stephens, a barrister, aged seventy-eight, and a one-time candidate for Parliament for the Plymouth 'seat, was: to-day charged with libeling his son. When called to surrender to his bail at the Old-Bailey he did not respond*. He war- called again,; without re&ujt, and then a messenger Imirried into Count and stated that Stephens had fatally out Mr throat. ]
