MR ROBINSON'S SUSPENSION THE INQUIRY PROCEEDING. , (Rteceived Last Night, 10.30 o'clock.) SYDNEY, January 12. A large mass of correspondence has been . submitted to the Royal Commissioner in connection with the inquiry into the dispute concerning Speaker Willis' suspension, of Mr Robinson, head of the Hansard staff. In the course of a lengthy statement, Mr Wilis said .that Mr Robinson, 'hod been in the habit of controlling previous Speakers, and the members objected to him' exercising authority over the Speaker. Robineon's suspension rested upon his insubordination in not carrying out ■ instructions, and writing 'letters, derogatory ,belittling and disrespectful ' "to the head of bis. Department!;. ; Mr Robinson read a, long reply, ' claiming fchat he had not-fiouted.the Speaker, and that ne imphatEy obey- • ed nil the instructions. The inquiry was adjourned.
