A meeting of the Committee of tIiSS Wairarapa Amateur Swimming Qui*' was held irn the ■ Homing Pigeon- Cluibi ro.oms last evening; Gillies'(chairman;), Georgeson, Eddy, Dicksoro, Winchester, Phillips, Flanagaa,. Maier, O'Brien* Rosson and McEwen (secretary). A letter, was received) from .'the Scoutmaster at Carterton, stating-, that his troop was agreeable to-'as-sist on the day of the sports.— It was decided to accept their services..' \' f " .A budget of corresnondence was received from Waiaioni Park, Christchairch, stating that all arrangements for a,.special, display off fireworks on the night of the sports were made., .•-.'■ Entries are coming in freely, and!' have been, received from WellingtoniHawke's Bay, Palmerston North' Woodville, Carterton; • Dalefield and.
