MOTIONS REJECTED. (Received January 9.50 a.nv.). HOBART, January-11. The Labour Conference rejected proposals for increasing the taxation 031 large estates, the abolition of the Upper House, State Parliaments lionising and financially providing for widows and orphans) and'bonuses for !'arge families. A motion for compulsory and con-it'-ihutriry insurance created a long diiwussdbn, and was finally defeated.
