TO-DAYS' WEATHER
NEW ZEALAND FORECAST (By Telegraph—Press Association.J WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Rev. I). C. Bates/, of the Meteorological Office, this evening imied the foil owing summary and forecast : The barometrio pressure .has decreased steadily in the North, and has been unsteady elsewhere. Easterly and south-easterly winds predominated to-day, with increasing Iforoe, and changeable, cloudy and showery weather has prevailed. Present indications are for unsettled . and cloudy weather 2 A\*itli • rain generally and heavy, with rivers rising northwards of New Plymouth and Napier. A cyclone appears to be passing in the i\ortn, and easterly and south-easterly winds are probable generally, strong to gale in tine North, and squally at times in tlie South Island. Tlhe winds are likely to change to Avest shortly for a \v_esterly storm area, which is developing, and is due to pass in the South about Friday.
