AMATEUR ATHLETIC CLUB
QOMMITTEE MEETING. A meeting of the Committee of the Wairarapa. Amateur Athletic Club was held last night, there being present, — Dur Prior (chairman), Messrs P. Gilbert, A. Long, J. W. Nicholson, J. iCoradme, W. Dickson, J. Bradbury, R. McKenzde, M., Igguldeai, and Thomas. The report of the performance of "Jtuie" was read and adopted. It was decided to play a cricket, matdh against the Y.'M.C.A. on 'Xflmrsday next on the Park Oval. The Clttb'B team vM [ beßead, DougU&s, Rippon, Dickson, Long, Nicholson, Bradbury and Ihoan'as, Mr Ooradine was thanked for his presentation to the Omb of a vaulrt--sng pole. + •-It was decided t6* hold twewdoeson the Park Oval on Thursday evening next, at 6 o'clock, the events to lie 100 yards, 3CO yards, and broad jump. The following programme wasi drawn up for the' Park tfote on February Ist: — 100 yds, 203yd0, high jump, pole vault, 440 yds hurdles, and ttno mile. , JVlr A. Cu Williams was elected a memjber of the committee. . .Four now members were elected fco the Olub.
