GRAVE DESECRATED
THIEVES OPEN A COFFIN.
(Received January 6, 8.40 a.m.) LONDON, January 5. The grave in a cemetery in Sligo of the late Mr C. Macdonas, at one time a member of the House of Commons, has been opened, and the urn removed from an oaken casket and the ashes scattered. The police are of the. opinion that the miscreants intend ed to steal the casket, believing the urn to be made of silver.
