. THAMES, EaTsE Night. A serious shooting accident occurred oiui the- steamier Wakatere. A saloon boy named Bobert Rowlands*, of Auckland, asked another lad named Arthur Walding, for a clothes brush, WiaJdang opened the mate's cabin- drawer to get the brush, and found a revolver. .He began foofcg with it, and not knowing it was loaded, pointed it at* Rowlands, who received the bullet in his head.
