THE SECOND TESTJ ENGLISH PRESS OPINIONS. (Received Last Night, 1J o'clock) LONDON, January 4. The Daily Mail states that Victoria acted as a tonic to the English cricketiers. The Chronicle says the most promisN ing fact is that Hordern's "googlies"have been conquered. The Morning Post says the keen* ness of the fielding was especially; gratifying. In this respect, Englanti I was taught by the enemy. The Sportsman commends the Vntsmen for placing Hordern's "googlies" for singles, in preference to punishiag them. Sporting Life says that Barnes's , sensational bowling at -Hie opening of the match was tho dominating factor in the victory.
