C Hates-, of the Meteorological Office, this evenling isJs>ued the folll owing summary and foreeast:— The barometric ptmsaire has decreased everywhere to-day, and freshening norther Jy and westerly winds have predominated. Tilie weather has beeni warm, though doudy and overcast skies have ruled, and rn.is.ty rain and showers have fallen in many parts. Present indications are for moderate to strong northerly and westerly winds, and a falling barometer everywhere,'but a rise will probably take pJlace in about sixteen hours, when' the winds will! diange to the southward and freshen, with colder weather in the meantime, doudy, misty, and unsettled weather may be ted, with, rain in most parts of the country. The conditions at present are particularly favourable to electrical disturbances'.
