WEDDING AT CARTERTON

; At Carterton yesterday, M&8 Loin isa Jane Archer, second daughter of the late Mr John Archer, of CHarevalle, was married "to Mr Henry B. : Hbsneli of Sydney, New South Wales. The ceremony was performed! at St. Mark's Churchy by the Rev. R. .Young, vicar. The bride, whoi was given away by her brother, Mb Jamest Ardher, whb« attared iarobeti of cream' silk taffeta, trimmieia' witii si*lk insertion and bea& " and with a flowing court - traitii r trim* medi with silk insertion. MSBb "Mda* hie Archer was ohief bridesmaid, and! Mm Gfedys. Burns, niece of th<ai 'bridegroom, was second mfcad. Tfcfc .chief bridesmaid's dress was of OhJi na silk trimmed with, elk insertion.,, with creme hat trimmed' with 1 blue and edged with forgetrme-aiota. She also caiTied a bouquet of pal© blue flowers. The second maid's dress was of China silk with creme hat trimmed; with creme ribbon and for> A basket of pale blue flowers completed the costume. Mm Gr;. Ireland, of Carterton, was best man. •After' the ceremony, a reception was held at the residence of thfc bride's mother, at Olarevalile, and thle ytoung couple left per motor oar fctf Masterton, en route to Wanganui, to spend their honeymoon. The bride's travelling dress was of blue the skirt double, trimmed with overall silk insertion and kce huttonsi and glace silk, and hat to matchC The bridegroom's present to the bride was ..an engraved gold band ring, audi to the bridesmaids, he gave a gold pendant set with pearls and rubies, and a gold bar brooch respectively. The bride's giijfc to the groom was an engraved gold band ring.
