THE WELLINGTON METINC. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) • | WELLINGTON, Last Night. The Wellington Rifle Association's first annuail prize meeting concluded, at Trentham to-dlay. It rained heavil|y thrflughouifc' the morning, but cleared up at noooti. A tricky wind prevailed 1 throughout' the wliolle day, and was tihe cause of many a wellknown marksman cracking up at the long ranges. The Champion Teams Matcih was won by the Suburbs No. 1 team with a score of 455, Earori No. 1 team being second with 488. Opakd. No. 1 team and representatives of tihe Ghristchurdh Rifle (Hub tied for tfhlrds pWace, but"the sihoot off resulted in a win for the Opaki men. Ritflseotnan J. Given,, of tire Suburbs Club, won matcih No. 4 (800 yards), Riflman O. Wlhiteman (Suburbs) won Match No. 5 (900 yards), and Rifleman. A. Firanc'e (Karori) Matcih No.' 6 (1000 yards). The Championship Aggregate was won by . Rifleman/ J. W. Milroy (Nelson) after a ®hoot-off witih Rifleman Loveday (Wocdrille). The latter wa® beaten by one point. The Tyro Aggregate was in favour of Rifleman Evans (Suburbs), and Rifleman. Loveday (WoodvilUe) won the long rang© aggregate.
