The wedding.was celebrated at the residence of the bride's parents, Casel Sfeeet, Masterton, yesterday, of Mr GeOTge Henry Check, Son of Mr Jjames Check, of Masterton, and Miss Mabel Benson Alesandiria, daughter of Mrs Walworth. The bride was given away by her grandfather, MnH. Alexander, and tJlie ceremopy wias'vperformed by the Rev. A. T. Thompson. Mr and Mrs QreckJeft by tih"e afternoon train for Wellington, where the honeymoon is to be spent.
The, Cknterton News understands that it is the intention of Mr Marryo/fc D. Horhsby to shortly, take over, on his own bdiialf, the Carterton practice of Mr D. G. Smart, solicitor, for whom Mr Horasby is now managing clerk. Mv Hornsby passed his final examination as a solicitor in November last. Prior to tire breaking up of the Taueru school, Mr Brockett, the headmaster, who bias been transferred to Parkvale school, was presented by the dhildireh with an address, a handsome set .of pipes, silver match box, and tobacco pouch, and to Mi-s Brockett was presented a silver thimble. Gieneilal regret was expressed at their departure, and kind wishes 'foV" their future welfare.
