AND COLONIAL ADHESION
SUGGESTION BY LOUD. DUDLEY'
(Received Last Night, 10.30 o'clock/)
LONDON Deocn-.bei 21
Lord Dudley, speaking at Worcester, said the greatest security for Imperial unity and Co Jonial adihesiovi lay in. continually sending tlhe best toys, soundly educated, tc the Colonial dependencies. He did not suggest I a likelihood of deterdoria/tdon in the colo'aies, but, considering that Australia. was fifteen thousand miles away, at was likely, unless there was an influx of new British KU|pl, that there might be a danger of fevelopment of' a separate type. It was impossible to conceive of people so far separate remaining closely kmit in customs, vtiews and development, especnailty as climatically the conditions were differon t without the infusion of a British strain. He believed that this point was fuMy recognised overseas.
