LONDON, December 20.
Tlie Times states that the New Zealand elections have resulted' in chaos. Sir Joseph Ward, it says, is the only man adaptable enough to patch up a Ministry that would have a majority behind it. Therefore, it was straining language to talk of his defeat, although has position was unstable.
