The Dundee carters demand a minimum wage of 23s Aveeldy, an 1 the dockers request an advance of Id per hour*.
All the fcmoJ'ler firms have co'irojlod the demands, hut the railway companies and larger firms have refused. Troops have been despatched to Dundee.
Mr Tom Mann protested to Lord Haldane that troops were calculated to incite disorder .and that the strike committee would guarantee order if they were re-called. [
