HOSPITAL COMMITTEE

MONTHLY MEETING.

The month's meeting of the Mas-] terton Hospital Committee was held ] at the Hospital yesterday. Present, I —Messrs J.'B. Keith (chairmani), j W. Fisher, D. J. Cameron, J. C. Ewington, H. J. O'Leary, and Jas. ■Mi11er...... '-., .-• : " .The treasurer reported as follows: —Receipts: Balance from last .meeting £6l 5s 2d; patients-' fees £47 13s 4d; grant from Hospital Board, £430 15s. Total, £.559 13s 6d. The expenditure for the month /■ totalled £1.94 18s 9d; leaving a balance at, date of £364 14s 9d. Accounts in respect of tlhe past' month amounting to £135 2;s Bd' were passed for paymeat. It was resolved to hold a special meeting of the Committee at the Hospital after the holidays, to deal with the matter of -securing-.an XRay plant, and electric lighting apparatus. Tenders for supplies to thie Hospital for the year ending 31st December, 1912, were accepted as follows: .Groceries, J. Graham and Oo.; meat, Holloway and Co. ; milk, A. F. Billington; funerals,'G. Hyde and Co. ; dressings, etc., Shadamd and Co.; drugs, etc., H. T. Wood'. The matter of accepting a tender for the supply o'f bread for the Hospital ataid Renalil-Swl'way'Home. was left in tlhe hands of the chairman and secretary, with power to act. The question, of. con'sidering the accomimiodaibiqk required om account of extra probationers to be ta:ken on at the Hospital' in accordance with the provision's of the new niunsing scheme adopted by the Wairarapa Hospital and Chairitahle Aid Board was relegated to the special meeting of the Committee to be held after the holidays.
