DISTRICT NURSING SCHEME
ADOPTED BY THJ: HOSPITAL BOARD.
The report of the commiittoe appointed to consider tie question of a district nursing fecfoeme was deaJi with at the meeting of the Wairarapa Hospital and Charitable Aid Boa/rd yesterday. This recommended tho taking over of the money in tbe hands of the Ibcal Coanmittee, amounting at present to about £383, to advertise for two certificated nurses, and to set u>p a (scheme to supera intend the ini ti ation of the scheme. In moving the adoption of the report, Mr W. Fi&her Aoad he thought the scheme a gooa one, but he was of opinion that it should . operate chiefly lin the hacjthlocks. Mr Ev,i;-,gton seconded the emotion. He said the proposal' had been endorsed ,by the Inspector-General*. He thought that tine fiinanoes couH lie arranged for a year or two, at anvrate, with the help of the Government subsidy. The motion -was- unanimously adopted. A committee obnsisting of the chaitrman and Messrs Ewington, Fisher and develop the scheme in conjunction with a -cspmitjittee of ? three-from tie Ambulance Society.
