A hurge' crowd, assembled in the Lansdu.vne School last night, to wi!nessi the kinder-spiel "Playmates," presented 'by the pupfe The children had been trained perfectly, and carried out their respective parts in a creditable mailer. Following is a list df the characters. : "Jiack Goolse," Geoffrey Boys; "Mother Goose," Miss. Q. R. Sutherllaud; "Farimer Jack," Fred Smith; "Flora MacUonald,'' Ada Evans; "Red Rkling-Hiood," Katie Te Tau ; "Dick Waiittington,"'' Eric PWatt; "Annie Laurie" Gjfcidys Halt; "Aunt Sally," Dorice. Holll'iugs; "Cowboy Jack," Clareaice Ba.unfeter ; "Simple Simon," Eric Chester man ; "Maggie Lauder." Vena Smith.
The prindpa.l features of the entertainment we no. the rctuinn- of the "Highlanders." and "Simple Simon," the return of "Farmer Jack" as- ".'Jack the Giant-kiffiier," the return of "Wihittington" as "Lord Mayor of London.," the ref.unn of "Cowboy .lack" as- '"Jack of the Beam stalk." Final chorus.. "Good .IVghb." A number of action songs- were sung by Standards. 1. and 11. girls, and the Scotch Reel was danced by Mr Siutherliand's pupils in splNidid st vie.
