In front of the rising cost of living and the growing discontent of the .great miass of the people, it stamls with doddeinhig feet and palsied hands, weakly mouthilng asinine phrases about the things that were clone ten, twelve, fifteen, twetnty years ago. I'll ings done by men who ■aire dead. The Government has. no policy. It tallies about ai policy, but if asked to produ.o it it can only point vaguely to the past. The Government is grown so senile that it c:ks like a cliiiM it' criticised: it is
"unmanly" to criticise, it blubbers, "unfair," "viie," and between gasps of asthimaitical rage it talks wildly into 'h© surrounding oxygen about iiunutettixloes, "stabbing iin the back," "ihittflng 'below the belt," aaid 1 all the other chilkLish phrases wjlucQi are ever on the lip's of the Munis'tars who draw their salaries from am apathetic people.
