PERSONAL.
The following changes in connection with Messrs W. Dimock and Co.'s Wairarapa buyers will take place this month:—Mr R. A. Large has been transferred to Gisborne, and Mr T. V. Caverhill, Carterton, will be in charge of the Wairarapa with Mr Arnold, of Levin, working the North Waina fa-pa, and living at Eketahuna. Mr A. Abbott, Dale-field, has severed his connection with the firm.
Mr L. Parker, of Kaiparoro. who met with a allocking accident a- fewdays 'back, died at Eketahuna yesterday. ■Mi' H. Mayo, the newly-appo.intel conductor of the Masterton Brass Band, was welcomed at a supper in Rankin's tea. rooms last night. A large number attended, and speecho.! of welcome were made by prominent members of the hand. A London cable states that the Rev. James Denton, rector of Birmingham, has been appointed Bishop of Sodor and Man.
