ELECTION OF OFFICERS.
A largely-attended meeting of the Women's Christian Temperance Union was held yesterday afternoon in Knox Hail, the occasion being the annual election of officers. The meeting was presided over by Mrs Devonport (President). The result of the election was as follows: —President, Mrs L. Devonport (re-elected): vicepresidents, Mesdames Hoskir.g, Serpen, Burton, Ross, Redman; secretary, Mrs E. Flanagan ; treasurer, Mrs Sutherland; Supt. of Home Meetings, Mrs Ewart Ar.derson (re-elected); Press reporter, Mrs D'Ews; Supt. of Literature, Mrs N. Miller. Considerable enthusiasm was displayed in the final arrangements for the work on election day. The next meeting of the Union will be held on the first Tuesday in February.
