The question of the issuing of complimentary tickets were discussed at the meeting of the Masterton Racing Club on Saturday last. The Chairman (Mr Vallanee) stated that in his opinion the issuing of complimentary tickets should be suspended. He'felt certain that the club was losing money by it. Several members expressed the opinion that too many local people were admitted with complimentary tickets. Mr D. McLachlan thought it would be a mistake to restrict their privileges too much. Complimentarytickets meant an increaso in the totalisator takings. After some discussion, it was decided that complimeritarY tickets be issued to stewards from visiting clubs only. It was also decided that no luncheon tickets be issued.
