MARTINBOROUGH STOCK SALE.
Messrs Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report on their Martinborough stock sale held at Martinborough yesterday as follows: —We had a full yarding of cattle, mostly three year old steers in good condition being submitted to a large attendance of the public. Business at auction for quality was good, but inferior sorts and aged cows were difficult to quit. We sold practically the whole yard : ..sg at prices equal to the larger i.cntres. Quotatiors:—Three year bullocks with few four-year olds, £6 6s others £3 12s 6d to £5 19s; two-year old good, quality, £5 2S; store cows in fresh condition, £4 to £4 ss; yiwiing steers, dairy sorts, £2 10s; aged balls, up to £3 10s; a number of age! awl broken down horses were sold ;ii. iroin 10s to £9. -
