MR HERBERT AT NIREAHA.
An indication of the feeling in the country was provided by MiHerbert's .committee meeting at N'ireaha oai. Wednesday evening in the Public Halli. There was an attendance of over thirty. Mr N. C. Davidson, wGio occupied the chadr, stated that the settlers had come to the conclusion' that it required a strong mam- to assist the Reform Party, and While they miglut like other candidates personally, thfey felt that they should select the strongest -man (wlib was known to he a worker and a fearless fighter) to represent the district in Parliament. Mr Herbert addressed the committee on the prospects of election.
