WIFE MURDERER CONFESSES

(Received November 25. 1.20 p.-v.) VANCOUVER,, November 24. ' J Henry Beattie has been electrocuted at Richmond, Virginia, for wife murder. I Beattie confessed the crime in the \ presence of two ministers.

The trial excited enormous interest throughout the United States. Tme woman was shot in a motor-car. Beattie accused a "hold-up" man of killing her, despite Beattie's struggles to save her.

The gun used to kill the woman was \ found on the road. # It had been jolted j out of the automobile, and Avas proved to belong to Beattie. j
