SYDNEY, November 26. While playing on Friday, Gv.nn received a ball from Minnett on the back of the right hand. He continued to play, but it was subsequently discovered iliat a small bone was fractured. He will probably be unable to play again before the first Test match.

The illness of Mr P. F. Warner, the English captain, is more serious than was at first thought. He is suffering "from a duodenal ulcer. It is not dangerous, but the doctors say it will be impossible for him to play in the first Test match, commencing on December 15th. Yesterday he was admitted to a private hospital.
