A WONDERFUL CAR AND A WONDERFUL TRIP.
"Six mouths ago three men in a. Hupmobilo left Detroit for a two years' tour of the world 1 . Not merely as a publicity adventure, was this arduous trip planned. Behind tho undertaking lay a, serious sales', mission—a world demonstration of the Hupmobile. Before the etd of its second season the widespread success of the Hupmobile had been noised abroad. Experts 'had come form afar to examine her wonderful little engine; distributing agencies have been established in. South America, London, in South Africa, Australia, Manila, and' Japan; our export manager, C. H. Bunlap, had toured abroad with the result that many of the cities in continental Europe now have Hupmobilo representatives. Already the Hupmobilo and its sturdy crew have crossed the American continent. They have visited Australia and have been welcomed in Uncle Sam's two colonies across the Pacific. Before they return to American shores citizens in nearly every important city on the globe will have had an opportunity of judging tho Hupniobile at close range. The itinerary' will cover approximately a distance of -10,000 miles. To head this expedition Joseph 11. Drake, the treasurer; and one of the founders of the Hupp Motor Car Company, was chosen. As travelling companion he took Thomas M. Han lon and Tom Jones, a Detroit newspaper man. Not since the start of tho Glidden Tour two seasour, before, had Detroit seen such an enthusiastic scud-off as when Mayor Breitmeyer fastened an American flag to the radiator of the world-touring Hupniobile and bade the adventurers Godspeed." Such is tho commencement: of the story of this wonderful little "Hupp". A book containing the full story may be obtained from Messrs A. Hatrick, Wanganui, or Mr H. Leicester, Wakefield Street, opposite Town Hall, Wellington.
