A RAILWAY MINISTER.
It is quite on the cajd.si that, should the Minister of Railways be defeated for Dune-din, (wlhadh as not improbable), car should Ihe, in the alternative, become Ptrimie Minister (wihich Ls ittuprobable), Mir R. B. Ross, of Pahiiatua, wdl' be given the portfolio of Railways. Mr Ross has- a. wide exjpca'ioiee of irailtw<ay miattersi, and has been spoken of (freely in Wellington' by those whoa re in the "inner circle" as a coming Minister. We do not mention tfhe matter to assist Ms. camdMoituirie; but ats 1 an . item, of some pdllitioal interest. If the electors relegate the .Wand Administration to obscurity, whidh it is hoped they may do, Mr itoss wii. bte a* railway critic wtao®e opinion must always. be respected.
